Key Insights

• The UAE has a highly developed cryogenic equipment base supported by LNG production and storage, natural-gas processing, petrochemicals, industrial gases, healthcare, food processing and emerging hydrogen infrastructure. ADNOC’s LNG operations at Das Island use three liquefaction trains with 6 mtpa capacity, while the UAE’s position as a regional energy and logistics hub supports continued investment in cryogenic storage, transfer and process equipment.

• LNG and gas infrastructure remains the strongest cryogenic equipment driver. The UAE is expanding its LNG export and storage capabilities, while new projects are increasing requirements for large cryogenic tanks, pumps, vaporizers, loading arms, valves, transfer piping and instrumentation. In 2025, AD Ports Group and Nimex Terminals announced a major LNG terminal project at Khalifa Port with planned 400,000 m³ of cryogenic storage capacity and regasification infrastructure.

• Hydrogen is becoming an important future growth area. The UAE National Hydrogen Strategy targets 1.4 million tonnes per annum of low-emission hydrogen production by 2031, including 1 mtpa of green hydrogen and 0.4 mtpa of blue hydrogen. This creates longer-term opportunities for hydrogen liquefaction, cryogenic storage, transfer, vaporization and specialized flow-control equipment.

• The UAE’s industrial structure creates strong demand for nitrogen, oxygen and argon systems.
