In the last month of 2024, Siemens Healthineers have added two models of scanners Naeotom Alpha.Pro and Naeotom Alpha.Prime to their Naeotom Alpha class portfolio. This represents a step forward from the traditional CT technology with dual source and photon counting CT technologies that Siemens Healthineers has introduced together with their aim to improve imaging precision in time with workflow and other diagnostic capabilities even in the future.
Expansion of Portable Imaging Capabilities
The trend of portable CT scanners is making more and more hospitals free from the traditional restrictions to provide rapid diagnostic imaging in emergency rooms, ICUs, ambulances and military contexts. This has resulted mobility to such an extent as clinicians can now make a diagnosis right at the patient bedside without the necessity of patient having to be moved not to mention the cases of patients who are quite ill and traumatized.
