IC sorting usually refers to a specialized equipment that automatically classifies various types of chips (integrated circuits, power devices, memory, sensors, LEDs, discrete devices, etc.) that have been manufactured or packaged into "good/bad" and different performance levels (BIN) through automatic loading, precise positioning, (optional) electrical performance and function testing, visual/appearance inspection, and automatic grading and unloading; In the front-end wafer stage, it often cooperates with probe stations and testing machines to complete wafer electrical testing and sort according to coordinates. In the back-end packaging stage, it is linked with ATE or dedicated testing modules using gravity, translation, and turret methods to achieve chip electrical testing, appearance judgment, marking, tape/disk loading, and graded discharge. In terms of gross profit margin, mid-range general-purpose models usually have a margin of 25% to 35%, while high-end platform models can reach 35% to 45%.
