  • タービンオーダーの地域毎の概観(ヴェスタス、GE、センビオンノルデックス

Global wind turbine orders announced in 1H 2017 reached 11,570.9 MW, representing a notable decline from 14,743.9 MW in 2H 2016. There have been several shake-ups in the wind industry over the last year. Nordex acquired Acciona in the spring of 2016 and wind power giants Siemens and Gamesa merged this past spring to form Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). While the dust is still settling with the mergers, it is difficult to trace the global drop in turbine orders back to them. Rather, a major change in the Indian wind industry (from a feed-in tariff to a competitive bidding process) is partly to blame for the decline.

Vestas led all turbine vendors with 4,265.9 MW of turbine orders between January and June 2017. Thanks to a few massive contracts, General Electric (GE) jumped into 2nd place. SGRE came in 3rd while Suzlon and Senvion rounded out the top five. Asia Pacific led all regions in wind turbine order capacity with 2,775.2 MW signed in 1H 2017. Europe was 2nd and North America came in 3rd. Latin America recorded 741.8 MW of orders for 4th place and the Middle East & Africa came in a distant 5th with 198.8 MW. All five regions saw a significant drop in order capacity from 2H 2016, with Asia Pacific recording the largest decrease of over 1,500.0 MW.

This Navigant Research report tracks all publicly announced wind turbine orders between January and June 2017 (1H 2017). The report contains analysis of orders placed by region, country, and vendors, as well as a breakdown of the vendor market of the top countries. Note that this report excludes orders for the Chinese market due to the opaque state of order reporting in that market. Analyses of turbine technologies such as rotor diameter, turbine rating, and specific power are also presented, and the offshore wind market is compared against the onshore wind market.

Global Wind Turbine Order Capacity Decreased by Nearly 2 Gigawatts During First Half of 2017

Vestas again led all turbine vendors in terms of order capacity between January and June

November 22, 2017

A new report from Navigant Research tracks all publicly announced wind turbine orders between January and June 2017, providing details on orders placed by region, country, and vendor, as well as a breakdown of the vendor market of the top countries.

During the last year, several shake ups have rattled the global wind turbine industry, including Nordex’s acquisition of Acciona and the merger of Siemens and Gamesa. Additionally, a change from a feed-in tariff structure to a competitive bidding process in India led to market uncertainty, causing a decrease of almost two gigawatts (GW) in turbine order capacity.  According to a new report from Navigant Research, global wind turbine orders announced in the first half of 2017 reached 11.6 GW, representing a decline from 14.7 GW of orders in the second half of 2016 and 13.4 GW in the first half of 2016.

“Despite this year’s decrease in order capacity, the average turbine rating continues to grow, with many of the top turbine vendors having weight average ratings near 3 megawatts (MW) or higher. Total wind farm sizes are also increasing” says Adam Wilson, research analyst with Navigant Research.

According to the report, Vestas once again led all turbine vendors during the first half of 2017, with 4.3 GW of turbine orders between January and June 2017.  Regionally, Asia Pacific led wind turbine order capacity with 2.8 MW signed in the first half of the year.

The report, Wind Turbine Order Tracker 4Q17, tracks all publicly announced wind turbine orders between January and June 2017 (1H 2017).

Vestas Extends its Lead Among Vendors with the Most Wind Turbine Orders Received in the Second Half of 2016

Global wind turbine orders collected from July through December from 24 countries and 11 vendors total nearly 15,000 MW

May 4, 2017

A new report from Navigant Research tracks all publicly announced wind turbine orders between July and December 2016, providing details on orders placed by region, country, and vendor, as well as a breakdown of the vendor market of the top countries.

The latest version of Navigant Research’s Wind Turbine Order Tracker shows a continued increase in global wind turbine deals during the second half of 2016. From July to December, orders were collected from projects in 24 countries and from 11 vendors, totaling nearly 15,000 MW of capacity.  According to a new report from Navigant Research, manufacturer Vestas extended its lead among turbine vendors with more than 6,445 MW of capacity reported—almost 3,000 MW more than in 1H 2016.

“Wind farm developers are becoming more willing to explore regions of less than ideal wind resources and wind turbine manufacturers are using larger rotors and higher hub heights to maximize capacity factors in these regions,” says Adam Wilson, research analyst with Navigant Research. “Vestas is a good example of this—the company’s average turbine rating for orders received in the second half of 2016 decreased from 2.96 MW to 2.8 MW while average rotor diameter actually increased slightly to 114.5 meters from 112.7 meters.”

Vestas is trailed by Gamesa with just over 2,000 MW of orders announced, according to the report. Regionally, Asia Pacific leads, owing an 1,800 MW increase in capacity over the previous six months to strong showings in India and Australia. North America follows, with Europe close behind.

The report, Wind Turbine Order Tracker 2Q17, tracks all publicly announced wind turbine orders between July and December 2016 (2H 2016). The report contains analysis of orders placed by region, country, and vendors, as well as a breakdown of the vendor market of the top countries by capacity. Note that this report excludes orders for the Chinese market due to the opaque state of order reporting in that market. Analyses of turbine technologies such as rotor diameter, turbine rating, and specific power are also presented, and the offshore wind market is compared against the onshore wind market.
